24 bit 48 kHz stereo

From soft feathery dynamics to bright, energetic sustains, Evolution Flatpick 6 gives you a highly-authentic Flatpicking guitar perfect for folk, country, and bluegrass music. Evolution Flatpick 6 features a handmade steel-string acoustic guitar with a full, lively tone. Crafted by a distinguished luthier, the guitar’s construction features a unique variation on cross bracing, using smaller and lighter braces for productive bass response and crisp treble frequencies.
We developed the library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporated analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the precious tonal qualities of the guitar. Evolution Flatpick 6 includes both the as-recorded signal as well as an enhanced signal. Although we feel that the last option best represents our vision for the sound of the acoustic guitar, the unprocessed signal is also at your disposal for additional flexibility.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Modern Nylon

24 bit 48 kHz stereo

There are times when you need the crisp attack of a steel-string acoustic guitar, but the distinctive sound of nylon strings is often the perfect choice for a mellower audible guitar tone. Evolution Modern Nylon’s rich, full tone excels at the classical guitar as well as pop/rock guitar tracks. By moving the pick position closer to the bridge and employing the guitar body percussion hits included, you can also achieve moving flamenco guitar parts, too.
We developed this library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporates analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the precious tonal qualities of the nylon guitar.
For the sampling session, Guy Randle brought in the versatile and accomplished guitarist Michael Dowdle. Michael Dowdle has an impressive musical history. His session guitar work includes recording for artists such as Marie Osmond, The Osmond Brothers, John Schneider, David Archuleta, and The Jets as well performing on numerous movie and TV scores. He has also played on stage with artists like Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, The Coasters, Sam Cardon, and countless others. Michael’s extensive and diverse work has earned him the reputation of being able to play a wide variety of styles with complete authenticity, from elegant classical guitar work to gritty blues riffs. This versatility was invaluable, resulting in guitar samples that suit many styles of nylon guitar playing.

Orange Tree Samples Evolution Strawberry

Evolution Strawberry enables keyboardists to easily and quickly create authentic sounding electric guitar parts without the need to hand edit MIDI. Unlike conventional high-end KONTAKT guitar sample libraries and guitar VSTs, Evolution doesn’t require keyboardists to possess a foundational understanding of how to play the guitar in order to achieve authentic results. Instead, it leverages your existing keyboard skills, translating these techniques for the guitar, much like a skilled language interpretor translates one language into another. For example, chord inversions are automatically analyzed and the appropriate guitar chord voicing is instantly determined. Strummed guitar chord options are only limited by your imagination — whether it’s power chords, triads, augmented chords, diminished chords, suspended fourths, 7ths, 9ths, 11ths, “Hendrix chords” — it’s all possible.
Evolution utilizes sophisticated scripting instead of requiring you to memorize dozens of keyswitches and contains extensive articulations, from palm mutes to pinch harmonics, accurately simulating a real life guitar performance. It features the detail and nuances that bring a guitar performance to life. Its proprietary string resonation engine creates a sense of organic realism unparalleled by other guitar sample libraries or VSTs. Even more, Evolution, doesn’t require you to compromise your playing or sequencing workflow in order to adapt to its way of working — instead, it uses a convenient mapping system, so that the sample library mapping can be quickly and easily customized to your personal preference.
Evolution covers rhythm and lead guitar playing — which includes Orange Tree Samples powerful and advanced, yet easy to use, chord strumming functionality. The strumming system automates the time consuming task of sequencing realistic rhythm guitar parts, including an intelligent chord detection engine, which instantly translates chords on the keyboard into guitar voicings on the fretboard. Popular studio techniques like double tracking (and triple and quadruple tracking) are performed with the turn of a knob. Want to detune or capo the guitar? It’s all easily done, and switching to alternate tunings not only affect the range of the instrument, but change the tone of the individual strings. To provide the greatest versatility, Evolution was recorded dry and includes an assortment of virtual stompbox effects, and a vast array of guitar cabinet impulses, all built directly into the sample library. That way users can choose their favorite select amp simulation and effects to attain just the right sound, from pop to rock to funk to hip hop to jazz right out of the box.
Features:

– 1.6 GB of compressed NCW samples (uncompresses to over 3 GB), covering articulations such as palm muting, squeals, tapping, strumming, and much more.
– 4x alternating samples for realistic repeating notes.
– Built-in effects with virtual stompboxes and amp/cab modeling.
– Individually sampled strings, powered by a performance modeled string/fret selection engine.
– Strum keys as well as complete strumming patterns.
– Bridge, bridge+neck, and neck pickup positions.
– Instant double, triple, and quadruple tracking.
– Legato articulations, including slides.
– Alternate tunings and guitar capo.

Change list:
– Separate spring reverb effect module which features 11 spring reverb tanks to select from. New line of guitar cabinets, including modern and classic guitar cabs.
– Added chord mode selection keys for on-the-fly chord mode switching.
– New “Velocity to strum speed”, “velocity to strum distance”, and “strum velocity decay” settings for downstroke/upstroke strum keys.
– Adjustable legato volume.
– “Sixteenth Note Slide” articulation added.
– Improved automatic chord algorithm.
– Improved dynamic memory mode for additional memory saving, and minor CPU efficiency improvements.

Known issues:
– Strumming pattern sync issues when holding a pattern for multiple bars. The strumming pattern system also needs many improvements in terms of a latching mode for automatic pattern triggering as well as more editing capabilities in general.
– With more and more settings available, we need better organization to make them quicker to find.
– Some library-specific changes needed, such as increasing the volume range of the velocity layers in Evolution Sitardelic and removing unwanted harmonics in several of Evolution Steel String’s legato samples.
Here’s the plan moving forward. We’ve begun revamping some of the internal workings (which will probably include some UI changes) of the Evolution guitar engine with these goals in mind:
– Each library will use the same exact resources file, allowing us to easily release more frequent updates for our Evolution series.
– Strumming pattern playback/editing and chord system improvements.
– Settings organized, possibly into multiple sections–for example, one section dedicated to the keyboard mapping, including being able to remap the effect keys.
